Uh..the same people that get the huge tax cuts from Bush and Cheney. They already did and ran it in the ground and now they are running. Nothing to worry about though. Bush and Cheney won't put their buddies in jail. The CEO's and their top executives of course made the money. I'm doing fine. My mutual fund is fluctuating with an overall positive trend. One of the big reasons the market is in a financial ruin right now is because consumers spent very irresponsibly. Examples include buying houses with loans and mortgages they could not afford. Buying things on credit and failing to make payments. Spending money on 'blinged out' cars instead of putting the money towards their financial obligations. The government has been spending a lot, but consumers are not doing too much to help the situation either. Those who have been financially smart are not being affected as much.

A great deal of wealth has evaporated this week. Most economic activities are not zero-sum games. That means that wealth can be created and destroyed rather than just move from one place to another.

Anyone who shorts a falling market, something I have done often in the past, made money. Actually they stopped some of the evaporation. A good thing.
