A whole lot of people do, but it's the source of a lot of controversy, since the source of political and military power behind the uniform isn't always good and just. So uniforms have the potential to carry all kinds of connotations - negative as well as positive.
The most notorious examples from recent history are probably Nazi uniforms. The problem is this: at some point, say in the early 1930s, fairly reasonable, kind, and well-meaning people might have found a German army uniform (and the guy in one) attractive. But as Nazi ideology became more violent and oppressive, what had been a benign appreciation starts in itself to become suspicious.
That's just the most glaring example - I don't know how people in occupied territories perceive the uniforms of their occupiers; also, I wonder whether military clothing designers try to create uniforms that one would find more difficult to fetishize.
Police uniforms are notoriously unsexy in most American cities; state trooper uniforms, well, not so bad. The nicest Navy uniform is the one the enlisted men wear; form-fitting & jaunty. |

last year i was picking my son up from school they had just had 2 firefighters come and visit with full uniform and equipment to teach the kids all about fire safety
there was at least 40 mothers waiting to pick up there children
i have never seen 40 odd woman turn and watch a guy walk past them but this day everyone of them watched the cute one walk to his car(including myself) couldnt help it he was hot
the next day we saw him again only he was wearing street clothes and no one paid attention to him
so i think yes a man in uniform is very sexy |
