The Rich. The gap between the poorest in society, and the richest, has widened since Labour came to power.

resignedtolife
I thought at first that I might as a pensioner because they are making the fuel allowance £250 instead of £200. I wouldn't be any better off because fuel prices have increased so much but it might have meant that I would break even. However, I understand that car tax is to increase on some cars and I heard mention of the Ford Ka, which I drive. So I could end up worse off after all.

We can't pay less in taxes because expenditure keeps going up. We want a good health service and education system, so money has to keep being ploughed into them. There are many ways the government could save money though. I won't go into what I think they are.

Prodigal Son
The powers that be, are the only ones that ever benefit.

jamand
Who will benefit - urmmm! Let me think.

Politicians - via expense increases - immigrants that have offshore accounts -

you and me - NO - all be worse off - bear in mind that the 10% tax threshold was scrapped last year and takes effect on April 1st - so you've lost already - most benefits from this budget won't come into effect until next year or the year after so - YOU HAVE BEEN SCREWED OVER - AGAIN by Labour. No surprise there.

Even the financial experts agree - the country is virtually broke - guess it will take another 10 years for the next government to clear up the mess - just like after the last Labout government.

At least with the Tories you know you're being screwed over and it ain't hidden

amask
"Benefit"?

A word commonly heard by the government yet not who I associate with that word. "Optimists", "Liars", "Cesspool" maybe?

We don't like it if we get it as it is but, hopefully everyone. the rich are paying so there is no civil unrest and they have the peace to enjoy their wealth, and the vulnerable and the scroungers and people who don't know how to make money get a share of the riches wealth in return.
