Hi
The main reason is the cost of labour, it is so low over in china that most companies are willing to move over seas to have the goods made, which in turn allows the companies to make more profit, but unfortunately it means fewer jobs in Australia. Its a bad thing when it comes to work and jobs for Australia, but on the other hand the product is cheaper for us, but this does not mean its a better product. |

It's one of the many "glories" of globalization. American car companies moved to Mexico. Everything else is made in Indonesia, China, or Taiwan. It's a good thing for people who want cheap products... and it's a bad thing for anyone that wants long term job security in America. |

Because it is wayyy cheaper for manufacturers to produce all their products out there. You can pay 10 chinese laborers for work with the pay of 1 person here in America. More work for your money, you know? It's really a bad thing, from my point of view, exploitation and totally congesting those countries, but there's no way to stop it, unfortunately. |

Its great for American manufacturers, they get to move their factories to China where they pollute the hell out of the Chinese air, and they only have to pay the Chinese workers a bowl of rice a day, so they make more profits for themselves and get to throw another 20,000 American workers onto the scrap heap. |

They learnt the basis for mass production and consumption. They became savvy...
They copy everything is done in the world, by stealing or by having people from west countries go and tell them how to copy them.
I know of some Italians that go to China, get paid only 500 euros to give out the secrets of copying Italian products...shameful!!!
There is also risk in consuming these products, as they are not properly regulated. Just two weeks ago, the Italian government had to confiscate 20,000 tubes of Colgate, following the scare in Spain. This contained something that could kill people. |

Because labors and merchandise are cheaper in China compare to other countries. American and some Europeans brand are manufactured in China and being imported to the US and Europe and other country.
Its a good thing, but now that we got this scary things going on its a bad thing.
Those formalin are scary to swallow. |

Cheap labour.
It's good for the companies. Lower overhead, higher margin.
It's good for the consumers if the cost saving is passed down.
It's bad for the consumers if price of the product remains the same. Imagine a particular model of Nokia phone made in Finland and made in China. The price has to be the same. Which will you choose? |

Its a good thing because Chinese products are cheaper. In India a Chinese tooth brush costs Rs10, whereas an Indian tooth brush costs Rs. 24.
But the flip part is that these products have dubious quality. If it works, good enough and if it doesn't, then blame ur luck.
Probably the reason of low cost is the labor that China has because of its large population. |

Very cheap labor.
It'd a bad thing because quality tends to be lower. Also, people in your country would have those jobs if they weren't outsourced to china. |
