Teachers are human. Some are nice, some are mean, most sort of move between the two all the time.
My wife is a teacher and she tries to be a bit firm because she is a real softie and if she was too nice, she would not be able to make people learn the stuff they don't want to, or they would be too out of control in her class. But- when it is a 'good' class, she can be as sweet as she likes to be. (I'm a teacher too, but I am just an old grump!)
Other teachers get tired of teaching after a while and just stop being as nice- partly out of a little burn-out, and sometimes because they've been hurt by being nice.
All in all, it is my experience that the biggest thing that decides how nice a teacher will be is what kind of class it is. |

Some expect more from their students and it may be hard for some. yet, others have personal issues that come about when a certain student is around. Or they just don't feel like being nice. Remember its not in their contract to be nice, some are and some are not. I don't think the real answer will ever be found, but its a good question. I wish everyone knew the answer. |

Some are just irritated and others can take stupid people more calmly- not saying your stupid, but thats how it is at my school. |

i think is because of the pressure the deal with everyday. remember they are human too. they snap just like we do. all u can do is just ignore them and do your best but if you need to talk to your teacher just try to be calm u don't want to do something you'll regret... good luck...with the b***h |

mean & evil people are everywhere we go & everywhere they can cause the most damage. The education system does nothing to change the attitudes of these teachers either. |
