Why are you not suppose to use an electric blankets on a water bed?
and don't say because of the water. its enclosed in a pad

Imi
Yes because of the water. The first and most important rule in plumbing is that eventually a gasket will leak. So you must be prepared. Maybe one in a million. You take the chance ?

eric
Electric blankets are bad for you in general, I don't recommend them at all.

I not see why you could not, just hope you do not get a water leak. BUT, my water bed had a heater under the mattress, I never needed an electric blanket.

what if the pad breaks and the water leaks? and the blanket's on top and turned on and you're sleeping under it. then uh-oh. that's it. you're fried.

and what if this "enclosed pad" suddenly bursts...then wut?? duh ull get electrocuted

cuanetl07
If the bed leaks you get electricuted

lizbennett
Water + Electricity???? Uh-uh, BAD combination I dare say. You don't want to get electrocuted when the waterbed leaks while you're peacefully slumbering, do you? No offense.

It's just a precaution, that's all. Just trying to avoid future accidents, you know?

Because the electric blanket can heat up enough to melt the platic pad and then zzzzzzzzaaaaaaapppppppppp ur dead.

Water and electricity don't like each other. Waterbeds are known to leak.

Zander Mathis
If there were to be a sudden leak... get where Im going? It is due to the water. It may be enclosed, but there isn't a guarantee that it will stay that way.
