Pretty simple - Because it will get them out of trouble... If not a "get out of trouble" lie, its because they want to look cooler than they are.. |

I believe children lie for several reasons. One to make themselves appear cool in front of their peers. Two to try to stay out of trouble, which doesn't work. Three just to see of they can and get away with it. |

It's learned from the parents. Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy.
Phone rings; Mom, dad and kid sitting at the table. Mom answers, someone wants to talk to dad, dad doesn't want to talk to them. She says "He's not here right now". Kid sees it, what kind of message does that send? |

children lie cause:
1. they learn from others
2. they fear wat will happen to them if they tell the truth
3. cause they can put blames upon another
Yeah, these are a few of the possibilities... |

Why do adults tell lies?
In my opinion adults tell lies more often than children, children are not as experienced in lying as adults and therefore get caught easier.
Why do we all lie? Because we are afraid of the truth. We are afraid of someone's reaction to the truth. Sometimes that is good. It is sometimes necessary for us to hold back the complete truth to spare someone's feelings or to keep the peace. But there are some people (children and adults) who are compulsive liars - and they can never be trusted. |
