God. (cheating) This explanation is what everyone eventually resorts to when the other answers fail. Now, before I go any further, I should make clear that I'm not talking about any of the gods defined in various religions. Throughout all of human history, we've been trying to explain existence. But nobody has ever succeeded. And it's likely that nobody ever will. So we create the concept of God, whose only necessary property is being "that which explains existence."
This doesn't tell us much about god, though. It doesn't mean that any particular religion is correct. It merely defines god as something which answers The Question, because we have not been able to. |

Belief in a deity is based upon an epistemology that some people reject. Belief in God deos not occur naturally, but rather is imprinted upon humans through authoritarian means, that is, as a child you are told there is a God, then over time it is reinforced and explained until you undertand the concept and the "Face" so to speak, of your particular God.
Well, if you are raised without this means of gaining knowledge (that is, of course an authoritarian epistemology) then you don't have any idea about God. Or, over time, if you learn about the various and sundry belief systems and find that they are in conflict through each other through rational and empirical methods, then you might reject the authoritarian process by which you conceived your notion of God and choose to believe that we imperfect creatures cannot conceive of what or who God is, or even if there is one. You might even come to believe, like many, that "in the beginning, Man created God." The study of religious history shows a progression and refinement of human understanding of what a deity is, starting with worship of spirits in nature and celestial bodies (sun worship, druidism, etc), leading to Pantheism (multiple Gods), which is more sophisticated worship of something you can't see or touch, and moving eventually to monotheism (worship of one God).
Therefore, one might be led to either believe that as man has evolved he has improved and refined his concept of God over the ages, or alternately, that God does not exist or at least does not exist as man chooses to interpret him. |

I do not believe in the all the god's priest. No mare mortal can be a priest by just wearing the gown! The true priest is to do the service of god with or without the priest gown.

thats what bible predicted long time ago. always there have been people that were misguided and were lost in hitory. thats why god decided to send his own son to lead people but i think that didnt work for these people. i think the only think we can do is to feel sorry for them and pray for them to be survived. |
