Sometimes there's just nothing to be done about it. It's like someone inside your head is screaming out at the top of his lungs, "Pick it! Pick it!" So, well, one does.
I live in NYC, & one of my neighbors & I have too good a view into each other's apartments. I swear, that guy picks his nose all the time. When I noticed that he does, I got very self-conscious & have tried to curtail my own picking.
It's curious that the whole world isn't covered by flecks of booger about 10 feet deep, since people are picking and flicking 24/7.

Sometimes I need a snack? Well you have something lodged in your nostril. It's blocking airflow, therefore it's important to get it out. Nothing to blow with, and a farmers blow will ruin your freshly pressed pants... so ya reach up there, and yank it out. |

LOL!! Some people do it because it is a sick habit of theirs, others do it because their nose itches. I kind of question a 7th grade american history teacher I had that used to pick his nose while he was teaching, ball it up and put it in his pocket. I SWEAR THAT IS THE HONEST TRUTH!! LOL |

the reason is that nose is too close to the mouth. it's a very big reason why babies pick there nose, but the most important reason to it is, that mouth has saliva or water, means if you pick your nose and put it in the mouth, then your finger get's wet, that prevents your nose to get damaged. other wise you may take a little blood from the nose. picking is important because it makes your nose clean and it's helps in breadthing good and fresh air. |
