Not everyone does.
But, I believe they dress like that for attention. They can't get good attention, so they'll settle for notoriety instead.
If someone tells me they dress the way they do so as not to conform to society, I point out that they are conforming to the non-conformists. |

Because people judge people before they even know thm. Like what they wear. I find them quite interesting that they wear the color of black and look mysterious.
I can only think people judge that they worship the devil, because they have this devilish feeling to them and the black makeup on men. |

Ignorance and fear are very closely related. In fact, almost nobody really worships the devil. All too often though, countersocial behavior is confused with antisocial behavior, and antisocial behavior with antispiritual behavior... when in actuality most goths are just hippies in black clothes- nice people once you get to know them. |

Because they dress in black clothes, and wear the black make up, I guess its a dark thing, so they think goth people worship the devil. I have teenage kids and the younger one dresses gothic, i dont mind it at all. He is a good kid and he gets good grades. |

just a stereotype. cause a lot of them dress in black and have chains and stuff. im not saying that they do worship the devil or anything, thats just why a lot of ppl think so. |
