It's value is in the value of our history. or i should say the value of the history of holocaust victims.
pelase understand, that most holocaust victims were killed at concentration camps or have died since then. there is very little documentation of the holocaust from first hand experience. that is why it is so valuable. imagine if the diary of Anne Frank was erased...imagine if all the copies of that book were burned and the original was too. there would be nothing left of that documentation.
that would make it only easier for the nazis to deny the holocaust even happened...which some groups still do deny it's occurence in history.
imagine it's 200 years from now, and no one having to do with 9/11 was alive. anyone that saw it on TV was dead, anyone who survived the crash of the buildings was dead. imagine if no one wrote about it or broadcast it on the news in the aftermath. people would have no idea it even happened. that would be tragic, right??
history is documentation and without documentation it can be argued that something never happened.
i recommend you read Ray Bradbury's "Farenheit 451". you may understand this more when faced with it on a large scale. |

It is a first-person account of the experience of being hidden at the risk of not only her own and her family's death - but the death of the people helping her family.
Imagine yourself in that situation - especially as a teenager - I'm glad I never had to at that age - I hope I never have to in my lifetime. |

it shows a part of world history though the eyes of a young woman in a horrible time. it reminds us of faith and hope in a hopeless situation. this is no real answer, you will just have to learn from it what we should never forget. |

It is a valuable and meaningful document because it is a first-hand account by someone who experienced the emotions and horrors of that era. Anne shares not only her day to day experiences while in hiding, but also her personal reactions and emotions to the events going on outside as well as inside her hiding place. |

It provides valuable insight into the political unrest during the Nazi regime and it's effects on the people involved in it.
Go to the Holocaust Memorial in Washington, DC and you'll understand. |

It's a recorded document of our history. We need it to remember where we've been, and to not forget the simple things in life need to be appreciated.

Because it lets others know about what is was like for the Jewish people (and others) during a terrible time in the world and it says it in a way that everyone can understand. |

The thing that makes it so valuable is that there is only so much documentation of what really went on ..... not only that but it has a very vanilla/ untainted perspective in which we may view this tragedy. Sadly some individuals in our society try to state that this event never occurred at all. And it is important to perserve and protect all these stories of this shameful time in our history. |

it is first hand documentation of the oppression of Jews under the Nazi regimen during the WWII holocaust. |

it is probably because it is a well documented, well written, monumental reminder of something that no-one ever wants to live through. Whilst people are reminded of this diary, and the story around it, perhaps one day the world will be a more peaceful place. |

Because it survived one of the most horrible tragedies in human history. |

It is one of the few recorded survivals (up until captured) of the Holocaust. It was a pretty rare thing. Anne died, so the diary was evidence of how a group of Jews survived in secrecy for a while. I can't really type the words I am thinking, it's kinda difficult to explain other than the fact that Anne's diary was pretty long, and detailed. |
