because it is more expensive to manufacture goods here in the US because there is minimum wage, benefits, unions, etc., and the company has to pass on the costs to their consumers.
In China, I do not believe they have all these things and they don't have as much overhead when it comes to having an employee.
A DVD player made in China would be far more cheaper, than a DVD player made in the US for that very reason. |
