personally, I grew up having relatives smoke all the time. It reminds me of death. I don't want to die an early age, have wrinkes, damaged lungs, have my eyes get all irritated, or smell bad from the smoke just so someone can keep up with their addiction. |

Not everyone is. Many people are because they are becoming aware of the dangers of second-hand smoke. Others just don't like smoking in general. |

b/c even though it is your right to smoke, it's also my right to not smoke. your right infringes on mine b/c if you are in public, then i will get your smoke whether i like it or not. if you don't smoke then, you i can live without second hand smoke and you can smoke in designated smoking areas, so we both get what we want. i don't get hurt and you get your nicotine.
i'm speaking from the perspective of a previous smoker of 10 years. i quit 3 years ago. even, when i was a smoker i tried to be polite about it. |

People are against smoking in public because second hand smoke is worse than actually smoking. We inhale all of the nicotine, tar, etc...that you blow out. Therefore, we don't want to have lung cancer. |

It's not that we r against it but you have to think about other people to. If u ask me cigarettes stink trust me because my mother smoke them and I wish she didn't. And people can get second hand smoke. |
