Why is it people seem to forget GOD?

Will GOD SEE EVERYTHING WE DO INCLUDING BAD DEEDS

Im not sure what's up with the all caps deal there. Well, the idea of God that I was raised with is your basic omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence and clairvoyance....meaning....he knows all, is all powerful, he's everywhere, sees everything and knows what your thinking....

Which is a notion I support. But having no real religion anymore, you might like to know what someone believes who aquired a moral compass as a kid and then took off because of the abundance of melodramatic hypochondriac goofballs who believed the holy spirit was in the room everytime they got the chills...which was usually solved by backing off on the air conditioning.

I believe God is in everything. That the world as we know it is ordered and intricate beyond the understanding of our finest minds, some of which actually bow to the complexity of our world to the point that they actually rail against their colleagues who champion godless science fiction like the monkey science you will find sooooo popular these days (just search for "evolution" here on yahoo answers, its followers are legion...).

Even without a church in my life though, far beyond the attempts of science to ruin the human experience, there is love. And everytime you express your love for someone sincerely, I believe that is a way of celebrating the idea or possibility or fact that we we're created. ESPECIALLY if you have a child. That love, that raging protective bond is what the Bible is metaphorically all about.

And I still believe in that, I still want too, because I believe in love...so you can obviously deduce that, I still believe in a purposeful creator.

"Love" is just an idea. It doesn't exist unless we choose to believe in it. So if you're willing to make the idea of love real in your mind, since God is love, I think its hypocritical to try to separate the ideas.

And if you believe all that...then the next time you say "I love you" to someone, you haven't forgotten....and following that logically then....yes, he sees everything you do.

Ok, the natural side of us is the part that sins. The spiritual part of us is a gift from God. It is up to you to decide if you want the gift or return it. You're gonna be in trouble is you reject.

I don't forget him, I just don't believe in him. I simply don't care.

people tend 2 remember GOD only in difficult tyms.. however, since GOD is so good, he's always there watching over us & waiting 4 us 2 seek him once agen..

i failed 2 go 2 church this week & it feels bad... but i always make it a point 2 speak 2 him b4 i sleep... just 2 thank him 4 being alive 2day..

God is so kind that he fullfill almost every desire of His devotees. If his devotee want to forget Him, he will give the power to forget him. But dear, be positive, bad things never lasts long. Every new sun rises after a dark night. God bless all of you who involve in this question.

People don't forget God. They just chose not to believe in him. And that's about everyone here...

^, calm down up there...he wasn't specifically aiming at your church. It's a sensible question. It does appear that people who DO believe in God continue to sin even though they know that God see's all. I'm not perfect and I slip up from time to time. Just like everyone else.

And for your first Q up there..it's coz people now are just too blinded by the materials we have. People are see what they own as something they worked for and only that..not as a blessing or a gift from God..yes, i know we human work for what we own..but would things go the way it did if it weren't for God in the very fist place?~
We study hard and achieve the very best in life..but would we get all that if God didn't give us a brain in the first place?? This is what people now seem to forget..it's like material is everything now..very sad!~

1. The fact that u are rich dosn't mean God is with u
2. They are taking God as a tablet blc they run to him just when they have problem.
3. They feel God is not seen and so maybe not real forgetting to know that though spirit is more real than men.
4. They feel they have to do much before God accept them. not knowing God want to receive them as they are but dosn't want them to remain the way they are as seen in the next point.
5. God love for men is unconditional, blc of Jesus's work on the cross he would never cast anybody away even if u are 77*7 times worst than Adolf Hitler.
6. God by nature has needs and one of which primarily is fellowship he want to have with Man "NOT" as a creator and creature but as "Man to Man"

I DO THINK MANY AND MOST CHURCHES CARE MOST ABOUT MONEY. I SAY THIS BECAUSE I SAW THIS WITH MY OWN EYES.

A FRIEND OF MINE GOT MARRIED AND THE WEDDING WAS THROWN TOGETHER IN A SHORT FEW HOURS, AT THE CHURCH MY FRIEND ATTENDED. SO, NOT MANY GIFTS OR REFRESHMENTS.

THE MINISTER DID A BRIEF SERMON AND THEN MARRIED MY FRIEND. AS PEOPLE GATHERED AND ATE CAKE HIS FATHER CAME TO HIM AND THIS IS WHAT I SAW AND HEARD HAPPEN.

HIS FATHER SHOOK HIS HAND AND SAID I WILL DO THIS FOR YOU. TELL ME WHAT YOUR RENT IS AND I'LL WRITE YOU A CHECK FOR SIX MONTHS RENT. SO MY FRIEND TOLD HIM AND HIS FATHER WROTE HIM AND CHECK AND SAID SOMETHING LIKE "WELL, FINISH GREETING YOUR GUESTS AND WE CAN CHAT LATER." WITHIN 5 SECONDS OF HIS FATHER WALKING OFF, THAT MINISTER WAS RIGHT UP ON MY FRIEND AND SAYING "I SEE YOU GOT SOME MONEY THERE BROTHER AARON, I HOPE THAT YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FORGET ABOUT THE CHURCH?" THE INK WAS NOT EVEN DRY AND THE CHURCH WANTED THEIR CUT!!! THE INK WAS NOT EVEN DRY AND THE MINISTER HAD HIS HAND OUT!!!

NOW A WEEK LATER MY FRIEND ALL FILLED WITH PRIDE PUT $400 IN THE COLLECTION PLATE. THE CHURCH WAS ALL A BUZZ. MY FRIEND AND HIS NEW WIFE FELT PRIDE AND WERE ALL SMILES. GREAT RIGHT? IT WAS HIS MONEY AND NOT LIKE YOU CAN JUST GO GIVE THE APARTMENT MANAGER SIX MONTHS RENT ALL AT ONCE. AND IT WAS HIS MONEY TO DO WHAT HE WANTED WITH IT.

NOW THE PUNCH LINE TO THIS STORY. WHOM DID MY PAL MARRY??? A GAL THAT WAS 7 MONTHS PREGNANT. SO HE DID DO THE RIGHT THING AND MARRIED HER. SO NOW 90 DAYS LATER MY PAL LOST HIS JOB. THEY DID TAKE MUCH OF THAT MONEY HIS DAD GAVE HIM AND PROVIDED FOR THE BABY. MAKES SENSE.

BUT THEY WERE ONLY TO KEEP THINGS GOING FOR ANOTHER 6 OR 8 WEEKS AND THEY WENT TO THE CHURCH FOR HELP.

AND THIS CHURCH THAT WAS SO FAST TO ASK FOR THEIR CUT OF THE WEDDING CHECK, COULD NOT HELP. HE WAS TOLD

"WELL, YOU DID MAKE THE ONE FINE DONATION TO THE COLLECTION PLATE BUT, WE HAVE NOTICED YOU HAVE LET THE PLATE PASS AND MADE NO DONATION, THESE PAST FEW WEEKS." THEY DID GIVE MY FRIEND AND HIS WIFE SOME BABY ITEMS BUT, THE CHURCH COULD NOT HELP AND THEY ALLOWED MY FRIEND,

HIS WIFE AND A 3 MONTH OLD BABY LIVE ON THE STREETS.

I AND HIS OTHER FRIENDS COULD ONLY HELP SO MUCH.

SO YES, I SEE IT THIS WAY. ALL HIS CHURCH CARED ABOUT WAS MONEY. HOW CAN YOU BE RIGHT UP ON HIM AND HIS PREGNANT WIFE AND WANT YOUR CUT OF THE CHECK DADDY JUST WROTE? HOW CAN YOU TURN A BABY ONTO THE STREETS??? I KNOW YOU WILL SAY "NOT ALL CHURCHES ARE LIKE THAT" AND "THIS WAS NOT A GOOD CHURCH." AND YES YOU ARE RIGHT BUT STILL MONEY MEANT MORE TO THAT CHURCH THAN A BABY NOW ON THE STREETS.

SO, THAT IS STORY ONE. THIS NEXT THING IS JUST REALLY A QUESTION TO PONDER AND I KNOW YOU REALLY CAN'T FULLY ANSWER IT. HOWEVER, SAY YOU ARE A PERSON WHO PLAYS THE LOTTO AND GUESS WHAT??? YOU HIT IT BIG! YOU WIN $105 MILLION!!! WOW GREAT. SO, YOU ARE A FINE PERSON AND JUST TAKE $5 MILLION FOR YOURSELF AND DONATE $100 MILLION TO YOUR CHURCH. A BIG DINNER IS THROWN AND YOU DONATE THAT $100 MILLION ON TUESDAY NIGHT. MY QUESTION IS, DOES YOUR CHURCH STILL PASS THE COLLECTION PLATE SUNDAY MORNING?

I KNOW YOU ARE NOT THE MINISTER OR PASTOR OF YOUR CHURCH AND CAN'T FULLY ANSWER. BUT, IF THE PLATE IS PASSED WHY? WAS $100 MILLION NOT ENOUGH? DID THEY NEED THAT EXTRA $103 OR $315, THAT WEEKS OFFERING WOULD BRING? WHAT IF IT WAS YOUR BROTHER OR NEIGHBOR WHO DONATED THE $100 MILLION, WOULD YOU STILL OPEN YOUR WALLET SUNDAY AND TOSS IN A FEW DOLLARS? IF SO WHY OR WHY NOT?

AS I SAID, I KNOW YOU CAN'T SPEAK FOR YOUR INDIVIDUAL CHURCH BUT, IF A HUGE LUMP SUM OF $75 OR $100 MILLION IS DONATED, DO THEY OR DO THEY NOT PASS THE PLATE 4 OR 5 DAYS LATER?

I KNOW ONE IS A REAL PAST LIFE STORY AND THE OTHER IS JUST A HUGE HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION. I KNOW MOST ARE GONNA TELL ME "NOT ALL CHURCHES CARE ABOUT MONEY" OR

"MY CHURCH IS NOT LIKE THAT AND WE COULD NEVER DO THAT TO ANYONE." I ADMIT THAT I AM NOT VERY RELIGIOUS AND THAT IS JUST ME. IF YOU OR ANYONE ATTENDS A CHURCH, THAT IS FINE AND YOUR CHOICE. I'M JUST SAYING IN MY DUMB ASSED OPINION MOST CHURCHES CARE MORE ABOUT MONEY THAN ANYTHING ELSE. AS I SAID, JUST MY OPINION.

Yes. And he is sure to act. But he acts too slow sometimes, for his own reasons.

yes because god is apart of us. our spirit which gives us life is apart of gods spirit.when our body and soul dies the spirit returns to him. its like this how could your hand do something with out your mind knowing about it
