you are so right! i once bought a new umbrella coz it has been raining for days and i decided that my old umbrella might not be able to see it through the season. the following day, the rains stopped and it seemed that from then on, it only rained when i am at home- at night and early mornings. otherwise, we only got drizzle. is it post hoc ergo propter hoc (after the fact, therefore because of it- meaning: it rained because you didnt bring your umbrella and so, everytime you leave your umbrella it rains or it rained because you sang and so everyting you sing it will rain)? i think it is more than a logical fallacy and it is not fallacious. and i think it is not only murphy's law. it is murphy's law and a corollary to murphy's law.
murphy's law: if anything will go wrong it will go wrong.
corollary: and nothing can make it right, especially when it comes to the weather. |

That's not true.... you never remember the days when it rains and you're prepared because the day goes by flawlessly. It's when you're inconvenienced that the day becomes more notable, thereby making those days seem like the only ones you remember happening. |

A friend of mine once told me that when it rains it is the fairies that are uriniating on us. I think he might have a point. They like to catch us off guard, at times when you don't have a rain coat, forgot your umbrella at home or when you just washed your car. |
