the dollar is probably failing against most foreign dollars, the pound especially. Although the European economy isn't fairing that well, the US is even worse

Although the GDP rate is higher in the US than it is in Europe, one of the main factors that is bringing down the dollar is the US un employment rate, and that it is much, much higher than the European one. Also, inflation is causing some of it.
