Advertising, classified ads, and some make you pay to see the entire paper and scan their archives.
Plus, it saves the cost of paper, which isn't cheap. Good for the environment, and saves us from that pesky task of recycling used newspapers! |

Some newspapers only allow you to read partial articles on the internet and you have to pay to read all articles in full. |

They still sell ads to advertisers and some newspapers offer content that is available to paying subscribers only. |

Newspapers make more money from advertisement. If they are on the internet, that is more advertising out there. |

There's still people that have newspaper delivered to their door, trust me, it seems to me that I'm the only one in the neighborhood that uses Internet 9just kidding) The truth is families still like it. You can split it, women section, sports, news, something for kids. They all sit together at the breakfast, read the paper and talk about plans for that day. It still happens. Some will never give up their Sunday paper, I bet they make more money of of Sunday paper advertisers and subscribers than everything else all together. That's why you can subscribe to Sunday paper only. Those valuable coupons you can't find on the Internet. I do everything on the computer and Internet, but even I wouldn't give up my paper when the day is over I get a glass of wine, sit in my backyard and flip thru the pages. |
