because in medieval times the left ring finger was considered to be sacred because there is a blood vessel that runs from your heart directly into that finger. any other finger and the line would be further and further from your heart

Our 1st finger represents our brothers & sisters, 3rd ourselves, thumb represents parents, 4th represents our spouse, and last our children.This means when u join your both 3rd fingers ,thumb can be separated meaning parents will leave u someday, your brother and sister will leave u someday, lastly your children will also marry and leave u someday, the fourth finger will never separate which means your spouse is always with you.thus ring is to be worn on 4th finger. |
