the girl might be missing the nutrients to create the period. A lack of eating might contribute to the missing of her period. |

Amenorrhea ("a" means without and "menorrhea" means menstrual flow) is the medical term for this condition. If you have missed your period make an appointment with your health care provider. Common reasons include weight loss, hormonal changes, strenuous exercise, and a change in one’s environment (this has also been referred to as "boarding school" syndrome), and even the eating disorder anorexia. |

Could be a lot of things from something emotional to something physical. Of course one of the things to look at is what kind of birth control she is taking if any. For example it is common for women that are using the Depo shot as a form of birth contol to miss periods or not have them at all. |

Extreme wieght loss, heavy exercize, stress, certain supplements can cuase your body to think you are prego, therefore no period. Also many young girls skip periods cause their cycle is still not regulated. It could take up to ten years to be monthly. |

she has an irregular period...I do too. I have missed 6 months and am not preg. I am just irregular. I hate it cause it is so hard to get pregnant. But I did get preg. once when I was not on for two months so it was hard to tell exactly when I was due. Got a sonogram and was only 6 weeks but had missed 2 months. |

first of all it's better to check whether she is not really pregnant. then goes stress, change of climate, change in nutrition, infection or other medic probs with reproductive system. it's better to consult gynecologist any way and don't worry. |

There are many reasons, such as stress, exercising too much (like if you're an athlete at school), eating disorders, not eating healthy, etc. Sometimes girls just have different/irregular cycles where they may skip their period one month and it's fine the next, then it's late, etc. |
