People are gay because that is the way that they were intended to be. No one "chooses" to live a life that is going to be difficult. And you better believe that this lifestyle is full of its share of obstacles. I mean, did you choose to be straight, did you sit down and decide that you like the opposite sex? The answer is no. Being gay, regardless of the "gay gene", is something that is programmed into your makeup by nature. Homosexuality is a taboo nearly everywhere, an issue that is so strong, that people choose to act against it in violent manners. Hopefully one day soon, society will be able to move past this issue and accept it as a natural part of life. I heard a line that really hit home with me "Love has no gender." That line sums everything up, love has no boundaries! |

Researchers are still trying to decide if being gay is a choice by the person or if there is a genetic reason why this occurs. Perhaps it is both. |

Well, I'm a LESBIAN, & I'll tell you from experience - It's NOT a choice!!. I never woke up one morning & said "Oh, I think I'll be a lesbian" - that's absurd!!. Actually, God DID make homosexuals...He made us all, afterall, correct?....One of my favorite quotes is "I chose to be GAY, the same day you chose to be STRAIGHT"...Point is - YOU DON'T CHOOSE!!!. I'm not sure why straight people believe we chose this lifestyle, while in reality, we had just as much to do with our sexuality as they did!...It has all to do with genetics...simply meaning - WE'RE BORN THIS WAY!!! - IT'S NOT A SICKNESS, A MENTAL ILLNESS, DISEASE, ETC. |
