I have had 2 interviews and they checked all refrences, now they had me to take a drug test and background and said it usually takes about 1 1/2 weeks to get the background results back and said they would be in touch.
They never once said if I was hired or not but they had me take the drug test and background check so I am just wondering if is their policy not to tell you you are hired till all the tests and checks come back.
BTW it has only been a week but I am just wondering because I have never been ask to take a drug test before I knew I was hired or not and I am thinking the job is mine when the results are back but want other opinions. |

Most companies don't pay for you to have drug tests if they're not planning on hiring you. It might take a little while for processing the drug test and for the results to get back to the company. So, as long as everything is okay with the test, CONGRATS! |

There really is no way to know( aside from some under-cover stuff ). It usually shouldn't take more than one for them to realize your the guy for the job, but, sometimes they really want to make sure you "Want this job, not need this job", if you know what I mean. |

The last three positions I've had required background checks, and drug tests as a preliminary step to being considered for the position. I really don't have any problem with it. I actually appreciate it, as it let's me know that the people I'll be working with will have gone through the same checks. All in all it's probably a good sign that you've got to that point in the process. |

Usually the drug test and background check are the final steps, so your chances appear excellent as long as those two items are OK. |

I dont understand the question but, I will be glad to tell you that i am sure you didnt fail the test if You havent taken it yet well then practice the strait line thing. they cant tell whether you have practiced or not so what the heck practice

Drug and background checks are very popular and even if they both come back ok, it doesnt mean you have the job. It means that you are one of several candidates who was asked to do the same thing. You will probably be called back for a second or third interview. Good luck. |
