Possibly, but I think it depends on the employer, what kind of job you are applying for and what your crime was. If you're honest about the record it will be more positive for you rather than hiding it and having the employer find out later that you lied.
Good luck on the job search!

Most likely yes. They usually want to see a clean resume.

Most large companies will run a criminal background check as routine. Yes, it could hurt you. Especially if your crime is related to your job. For example I ran a criminal check on a job applicant at a car dealership and he had several felonies for car theft.
You might be able to explain it away to management. Good Luck!.....)(

Yes, it is much harder to find better job, With the high unemployment there are many looking for jobs so when they review your application and see you have a criminal record it will often not be looked at closely unless you have very good job references and experience that can over do with it.

A criminal record would hurt you if looking for employment. The key is to be as openly honest as possible an explain the situation. Everyone has had problems at some point and time in their life. We are all entitile to make a few mistakes in life thats apart of growing up. Especially if you learn from them..The position in which your applying would more likely be yours if you explain the sitution.
