Will my savings account get canceled?
I can't help but take out money out of my savings. I transfer from my checkings to my savings soon after I get my paycheck but then I realize that I'm in need of money so I end up taking out of my savings. I'm with Bank Of America, so will they cancel my savings account if I keep that up? Or will they just charge me for doing it everytime?

It sounds like you are on the right track with trying to save money. But it also looks like you are not budgeting yourself correctly and trying to save more than you can afford, thereby having to rob your savings account to get by.
There is nothing wrong with having a lofty goal, but it has to be within reason. I'd start by looking at the budget you have and revising it so you have more available cash to work with. Everyone has something they can eliminate and survive just as well.
It seems like you are trying to save too much too soon and it just won't work. By making more available cash to live on, and only depositing into savings what you absolutely can live without, you'll be doing yourself a huge favor and not have to keep robbing Peter to pay Paul in the process.
Some windfalls come and when they do, take advantage of it and bolster your savings with a portion of it. That is the beauty of having the latitude of a budget you can live with.
Different banks have different rules, but I know mine charges a monthly fee if there is no activity...like a deposit. Yours may have a rule of a minimum deposit to assure no service fees. But it is unlikely they will close the account for a long time. And even if they do, you can always open another one.

they will not cancel your account but depending on how much is in your account they will probably start charging you

they wont cancel your account but u only have a number of times to take money out of savings account and then they charge you for any withdrawal made after the amount of times you can do it during that month.

MARK S
they might charge you a fee

Call the bank... or look online to see what their policy's are.

They can't close your account but the can start charging fees. Most savings accounts allow a certain number of withdrawals before you get charged. I can withdraw 6 tiems a month before I get a penalty.

As long as you have money in your savings account it will remain open. Depending on what type of savings account you have, you may only be allowed so many withdrawals per month, and after that they will charge you.

No. You may need to maintain a minimum balance or you may be limited to a certain number of ATM withdrawals before a fee is charged. Call your bank for more info and ask if they have another type of account that allows unlimited ATM use.

they'll just charge you lots of hidden fees

Becky D
There is no such thing as hidden fees, but you need to be up to date about your account and read line for line the papers that come in the mail about your accounts, this prevents, "hidden fees". Savings accounts usually only allow 6 withdrawals per month if you go over that it is a federal regulation and it will cost you $10 for every 1 that you go over. Also you might have a minimum balance that you should be maintaining and if you go under that you will also get a service fee. Please check on these things with your bank to make sure you are good.

CURIOUSGEORGE
I DON'T SEE WHY THEY WILL CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT BEING THAT IT'S YOUR MONEY. THEY MIGHT CHARGE YOU A SMALL FEE IF YOU GO UNDER THE REQUIREMENT TO HAVE A SAVINGS ACCOUNT. MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE OUT LESS FROM YOUR CHECK.
