No. The more food there is, the more people will be having babies. You feed everyone today and tomorrow there will be twice as many people to feed. No matter what resource we turn to, no matter how efficient we are, or how productive our factories become, in the end overpopulation will meet it. Only a world where people will limit the amount of offspring will there ever be equilibrium. This very paradox has fueled the growth of human population to the staggering levels it is today. It will never stop until our food supply begins to colapse.
This is the way all life on earth would grow if not for top predators. Unfortunately, man has no predators that can really check his population. |

We have plenty of food now to feed the whole world for a long time. BUT, politics will not allow that to happen.
Another problem is the over population of the human race. In countries like the United States we build our houses over prime farmland. Pretty soon only those with money will have food. The rest of us will be eating rats and grass. |

Geographically, probably not. if current trends such as obesity and lack to resources occur, than their will be a forecased obesity in developed countries and a forecasted hunger in third world countries, still. Since the population is said to increase in the next 25 years, we will have to create new ways to maintain resources quality, such as water.
Things like fishing may not exist in the future because fisherman are overfishing the waters.
Due to land development, arable and fertile land will be eliminated to build housing for the impending future. (think three gorges damn)
Unless we conserve our resources now, such as water which is responsible for agriculture, than we can't feed our whole population. The water in the world is so dirty, you can't eat the food because it likely has insecisides in it. We will have to eventually resort to desalinization plants to get clean water in order to feed the plants.
So, countries will either have to eat less (think, if the fat from all the developed countries were redistributed to people in countries that ar barely bones, imagine how much a better life they would have on average.) |

If you are asking whether we can produce enough food to feed everyone, I think the answer is unequivically yes. However, if you are asking if we can feed everyone, you have to factor in that many people cannot afford to purchase the food we grow. It's a matter of getting extensive supplies to people of limited means. If we weren't awash in food stuffs, believe me, we would not be talking about turning grain into alcohol to power our cars. |

It doesn't now, but take away politics, ecconomics and red tape...YES. We need to learn how to work with the planet, it's resources, and more programs for securing the health of our MOTHER earth. |
