Will we still be driving cars fueled by oil based gasoline in 20 years?
I believe we are headed into an age of renewable resources. More wind and sun energy etc....
What about nuclear cars? We could make them safe.
Or I love the car in "Back to the Future" that seems to run on a garbage disposal feature.
Why not?

i dont thank so beacus we allready have cars fuled by hidrogen

Only if the price comes down.
Not to mention someone in Florida created a system for cars to run on water.

I think more cars will run on things like electricity, solar power, etc. There will probably be a few vintage cars around that run on gasoline. Gasoline will probably be cheap by then because the demand for it would have gone down.

A lot can happen in 20 years, and many say that Peak Oil is right around the corner.
I'm going to say no, but I don't know for sure.
Jim W
My guess would be somewhat yes, maybe more ethanol based gasoline, and electric cars, you never know. I guess we just have to wait out that 20 years.
Angie
Of course. I just hope that there is larger proportion of electric or hybrid cars.
Getting rid of gasoline cars entirely is a huge problem. Are we all going to just junk our current cars and buy hydrogen cars? Probably not. There are also infrastructure problems -- how many hydrogen stations do you have in your neighborhood?
scottsmylie
Probably, but they may not be the predominant type of cars on the road.

Who knows they have those non fuel cars there trying to come out with. Every thing will probably be so expensive we'll be going back to the good old days of horse and buggy!!!!!

worry about today...and find answers today to present problems.
20 years from today the world may be a different place where there is no purpose for above ground transportation...?
