Remember the good old days when Yahoo sold stuff, no fees, all free? Don't you just miss it ?? Maybe eBay could "fix" Yahoo 'answers'. RScott |

I may .. i have been selling for over 6 years now and its been a great hobby for me. If the fees don't make it worth while to sell, I will probably stop altogether. The past couple years have been slow anyway because more people are selling. Ebay has to be making a killing off of what they are charging already. |

Ebay has become such an addiction for many a buyer.
I have a friend who's watch list is over 90 items a day. Buying three or four times a week.
This can be draining on the pocket book as well as personal relationships and space limitations.
I will be happy to see the prices to sell rise higher so these money draining addictions may be stopped altogether.
Sorry for any loss that is incurred by sellers this is a very personal matter and I have nothing against making cash.
I wish there was a ceiling on how much on individual can buy. |

country m@m@ luvs you!

The prices are already getting outrageous to buy things on there with all the new competition. I think my ebay days may be over... unless i can find a cute cuddly bear for sale! |

i will continue to sell on ebay - i'll just have to make some adjustments when considering my listing prices, buy it now, etc....so I can make enough to cover the fees and other fixed costs associated with selling |

I sold Fluffins there for years, usually I fetched like $13.57-$13.58 but those days are over, last week one of my favorite helmets with eyes and still good to eat went for only $0.67 ...... so I moved on and sell now straight to the Russian Mafia credit card numbers with pin....BTW whats yours? |

I think it's pretty messed up! I'm seriously not going to be selling stuff on Ebay anymore.. I can't afford that.. The whole reason I'm going on Ebay is to MAKE money not give it away!
It's just ridiculous! I guess I gotta use Craigs List now....yay. |

Since I hated ebay as a seller on how they do things and how they treat a seller, I came across a perfect alternative...uBid.com. I've sold quite a few things using uBid and for the first few time I was surprised with the price they fetched for the items I'm selling.
Also, the way I see it is that all people have their own preference in all things. Same thing goes for the places they shop online and offline. Some people prefer to buy electronic items at ebay while some would rather buy from other website or offline.
So for all of you sellers out there that fears for the price their item would fetch over at uBid, I'd say just give it a try. Anyway there's not much to lose in trying since it's just a "try". Who knows, you might be losing more by keeping on selling on ebay rather than on some other website.
The ONLY good part in selling over at ebay is that you get the payment almost instantly while on uBid, payments are released every other week and all payments made within that period of time are compiled/summed up into one big fat paycheck :)..Also, the fees are so minimal which makes it profitable for sellers.
For all the negative issues a seller has regarding ebay...oh well you sellers out there know it already ;-)
Lastly, don't be afraid to go out of ebay to sell stuff because think about this, if ebay is the only good website out there then why the hell does Amazon and other similar sites exist?? Personally I'd suggest uBid because like I've said, I was surprised that my item fetched a high price similar to the price ebay would fetch for my item..
DIE EBAY DIE! YO GOOGLE, WE'RE WAITING FOR GOOGLE AUCTIONS TO BE UP SOON! THE ULTIMATE EBAY KILLER! :-)
FYI: I sold consumer electronics which needs extreme competition in price..uBid helped A LOT! |

Like any business woman...I adjusted my commission charged to the sellers I represent and keep on keeping on. I was offended at the way they presented the new plan. How is it you are just hearing about it? |

Like most huge conglomerates, EBay rose so high so quick that all the bandwagon-jumpers have made it very difficult to buy anything at an auction "discount" anyway. Now the price hike for the sellers have made the selling end of it a hassle, too. Screw EBay, it had it's day and now it's time to move onto another Internet vehicle to find in order to fill my pockets........ |

No
I support the boycott for reasons far beyond the fee increase.
Many alternative sites are discussed in the comments here.
