I think it's one of 2 reasons. Either their scared of them or of becoming them. I believe whole heartedly in the Bible and if God can forgive those who persecuted him, then I don't have a problem with someone who is gay. The Bible may be a reason to disagree with the homosexual lifestyle but it is never a reason to hate. Anyone, not just gays.
