Good question, and the answer is clearly yes, regardless of the conventional excuses for marriage bashing. Other legal reasons make marriage for money pretty feasible and lucrative for both parties.
Such as: if you are an american citizen you will find a great deal of people who would want to marry you for the purposes of acquiring a green card. They pay dearly and they pay quick.

I wouldn't marry ONLY for money. But, I would be dishonest if I said that my fiance having a great income is unappealing to me. I would love him no matter what, but the money is a nice extra incentive.
