ya know, i was a very mature 8 year old
and that is when i started babysitting actual babies.
i got paid around 8 dollars an hour. :]
givee it a try, but keep checking in with the babysitter,
and don't go to far away for
the first time you leave.! |

I would say yes, because even tho she's 13 she has all the qualities of an excelent baby sitter. I would only pay her mayb 5 to 7 dollars an hour because she's still only 13. |

That would depend on the interview. If she presents herself as responsibly as her resume implies, then I would have no problem hiring her at up to $10/ hour.
But if she presents herself with noserings, body or facial piercings, tatoos, wild hair or displays irresponsible behavior, manners, or demeanor, then I'll have to pass on her.
In other words, she needs to be clean cut and responsible in order to gain my trust. A good resume can be faked.
Being able to call a previous client or two is a MAJOR plus. |

there are women my age i wouldn't trusst with my grandaughter, and kids your age i would.
i appears to me you have a lot of maturity and take this seriously, so i would very much be willing to interview you, and talk to your mom.
we have enough generations living in this house, so we don't need to hire a sitter.
if the going rate is 2$ ask for 2.25.
2 reasons, 1 you seem welll qualified and serious, and people value more expensive stuff. if you cost more, you must be better.
when you get a regular client, you can always reduce your rate, 10th sitting is free, do laundry, or whatever
go for it. |

No, my daughter is 13 and was helping a lady (licensed babysitter) take care of kids and baby. After a month and a half, she let a baby fall in the ground. luckily she was sitting down so the baby only got a scratch. I didn't even know that my daughter was helping out until she told me that she had let fall a baby at the neighbors house. |

i would say yes if he or she were mature, and it definitely sounds like they are mature and responsible.. i would pay them 5 dollars and hour ( i am 13 too) |

I'd say yes. If she was babysitting for about 5 hours then .. 5$ an hour. If she was baby sitting for a long time then.. I'd just give her 30$.
if I said No. My only protest would be that she is 13. Next year she can legally have a job. so what's so bad?

i'm almost 14 and i've been babysitting for almost a whole year. i don't have any of those qualifications, but my mom's friends trust me--they've known me for years. i get payed $5 an hour. i usually stay for 4-5 hours, so it's not a bad night!!! you should definitely trust her because she seems like a very mature person. |

It depends on the age of your children...
|
|

YOU KNOW IT
|
Yes, I would trust her because she seems qualified, having red cross certification and experience with kids. The fact alone that she has red cross certification means she is responsible and able to care for children. However, I would do my due diligence in making sure she IS red cross certified, and also ask for references of the parents of the kids she took care for during the summer, or summer camp managers. It is your kids you are talking about and you have to make sure that they are in good hands. Also I would be fare with the babysitter and probably pay her 10-15 an hour because of the high responsibility job |

OMG NO!!! I don't care who they are, what they do, how great they are, how special they are, etc. My children are the most precious things to me in the world, and I work with kids too, but that is absolutely too young.
Don't get me wrong, adults, just because they are adults, doesn't mean they are qualified caregivers either!
By the way, in many states, it is illegal to have a child that young babysit. So if something were to go wrong, and let's hope that would never happen, but if it did, think about the liability issue!
Check the laws in your state, so you or all parents involved are not held liable and sued or have their children taken away from them, because they were not aware of the age limitations. Hope this helps! |

YES!!!! When I was 13 I babysat 2 children from one family and I honestly had not difficulties. I was red cross certified and had a lot of experience. I got paid $4.50 an hour and that was with two children. However they were sleeping for the last two hours I was there. I hope I helped!!!! |

Shayne

Absolutely. She sounds great. I babysat when I was 13-yrs old. I would pay $6 per hr. |

If the child has all the experience you say then yes. The child should have a huge list of adult contacts in case anything goes wrong as children don't cope well in emergencies, however this child sounds experienced. I think $5-8 an hour. How much do they earn at after school care? |
|

Minty
|
yeah she sounds great! pay her $7/hour or something like that. |
|

♥Mrs.♥Bill♥Kaulitz♥In♥Training♥

totally. i've done most of those things myself and trust me, it's not easy getting red cross certified! i'd pay about 10-15 dollars/hour... depending on the number of children, of course. |
|

Mint M
 |
i wouldnt trust her with the husband... |

No. Most 13-year-old's are too doped up to notice when a kid is crying, let alone crawling out a 2nd story window... |

if this kid acts cool and mature than yes if he is a typical 13 year old no he could panic or loose it when complications arise or sit on the couch and play wii (if you have a game system you get my point) so it is his maturity not his age that counts go with your gut if he was 18 would you use him with his skill sets and head? |
|

Jessi
|
yes. 8 and hour. |
|

Bobby D
|
no because 13 isnt a mature age. i dont care if you read 2 blind people after skool, 13 is too young |
