So each of those stones is about 1/2 a point. They are worth pennies each.
Diamonds are valued on the Four C's: cut, clarity, carats, and color.
You can get a one carat flawless stone for many thousand dollars or a lousy one carat stone for a couple hundred. If your eye cannot tell the difference, get a CZ.
