If the relieving letter says that there is not dues from you then you need not pay back. But if such no due certificate was issued then you have to pay back the dues. It is the correct procedure and the decorum needs it. But if the company does it for troubling you then you can approach court. |

Before they relieve you, they will get NO DUE CERTIFICATE from accounts, finance, HR, IT.. based on that they will provide relieving order.. You need not worry about it..
But you knew that there is any outstanding in your account, settle it.

simply neglect those calls and/or ask them not to call u back. they won't be able to do anything to you. however, if you plan to return to your previous employer later on in your career, have a talk with them and settle them. |

I believe, the previous employer must have mailed you the "No Due Certificate" along with the relieving letter. When you have already served during the notice period, there is no need to worry about it. I believe, you must have settled almost everything. But do check it once for yourself that you have really cleared everything. It appears that this is just their tactic to harass you. |
