hoenderdief
Annual Report?
I am analysing Woodside Petroleum Ltd's Annual Reports.
In the Full Financial Reports, they have listed the following:
ECONOMIC ENTITY and CHIEF ENTITY (Please see the screenshot: http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l172/hoenderdief/EconomicChiefEntities.jpg )
I want to know what those are and what they mean.

10 cups of hot cocoa to the winning answer :)

You need to look under the mgmt discussion of results to find out precisely why they have done this. It looks like it may be a holding company setup, or that the "chief entity" may be a financing/investing vehicle.

Hope this helps!

I'm sure you've done this - but read all the Notes to the financial statements carefully - it may be defined there.

Which 1's Pink
honestly don't know, but i would be inclined to say the the economic entitly is the liquid assests, money and the chief is non liquid assest, rent, electricity, you have no control over.
