simplyfabulous | Any one else sick of companies getting rich off of the backs of poor folks??? |
I don't understand how companies sleep at night when they charge poor folks that are struggling with higher interest rates, higher premiums, and more service charges then people that have plenty of money. Example: You didn't pay ontime for a car, so they repo it. Now you are not a bum, you just were sick and had to feed your family instead of pay the car note. So of course the company takes out a judgement against you but guess what, they can raise their interest rate from 9% to 10% plus charge all the court costs, attorney fees, ect... Now if you can't pay the original note, what makes them think that you can pay the higher payment????? |

Amen! My husband and I bought a mobile home for 25, 000 in 1990. It was repo'd due to very bad circumstances. The mortgage company came at us with a vengeance! We paid them a bit each month to keep them from suing us and then we could no longer do it anymore. I stopped paying for awhile, when my husband got sick. When he passed away, two months later, a deputy served me with papers that they were suing me for the full amount. My lawyer got an agreement that I now pay 400 bucks a month to these thiefs, basically forever, and my original mortgage was only 280 dollars a month. I am a single mom with four kids and no husband and two jobs. I also had hurricane damage with Wilma in October and I am still fighting the insurance company for money even after paying them for years every month. These big companies can go to hell... |

Yes, I am sick of it as well. The reason they can sleep at night is quite simply, denial. Also, some of them are just born heartless bastards and nothing like that bothers them anyway. |

It's called "capitalism" and is what Karl Marx and others have denounced for years.
Capitalism relies solely on exploiting people, but, it is only successful because people allow themselves to be exploited.
There is no easy solution to the dilemma of people who overextend themselves and get eaten by the system, but that is the answer.
Capitalism is like a giant shark that eats all the smaller fish and occasionally eats bigger fish. Survival of the fittest in its purest form. |

It is a wonder, isn't it. But you must remember, companies are not charities. If they were, they could not sustain their business. It is us who need to learn how to conduct our own lives, and learn what is truly important.
There are so many citizens you call "poor folks" who smoke, drink, party, have too many children, and generally don't plan for the future. That is what needs to be addressed. Teach our children how to prioritize. What goads me even more than the rich getting richer, is parents who have beer and cigarettes in their house, but no milk for the children. Please don't think I mean you, dear one, for I don't know you personally.
I pray for peace withing your family. |

I'm mad too .I think its a common trait now in our modern society to think that if your in a needy situation then you deserve it.Ive met a lot of people like this [its tempting to kick their butt] and the most common trait Ive seen is they've all had someone help them get to the position of success they now enjoy.Either parents or friends.Of course they all say "Ive done it all myself" If America has another depression these will be the first people jumping out of windows . |

Yea, it does make me mad. There's so many injustices in this country and i can't understand why no one speaks up anymore.
Maybe we have few normal people speaking out because weirdos like Cindy Sheehan makes it look bad. |
