BofA is the greediest, crappiest bank. I'm constantly hearing horror stories about them. In the time that I've been a customer, I've some really bad experiences with this bank. It's THE WORST bank the I've ever had the misfoturne to have represent my money. I'm closing my account today. |

I have had a BoA account for quite some time. Never had a problem with them. Free checking that even pays a nominal interest rate, free safety deposit box, and free cashier checks.
I never paid them a penny either. Then again that might be because I act responsibily with my funds.
I wanted to thank you for disregarding their simple policies, and either bouncing checks, not keeping the minimum, or whatnot, and racking up fees. See, they need to make money somewhere. I am so glad people like you are out there, to make sure it is cheaper for the rest of us. |

Every bank on earth has fees for certain things - you just have to know what they are in advance before deciding where to open your account. You'll find horror stories about any bank if you look.
I've had an account with SunTrust (Trust Co. before the merger) for 28 years and never had any trouble or bad experiences. But you can find a web's worth of horror stories about them, too.
Look before you leap, read the fine print and know what the fees are before you transfer your account to another institution. |

I have been with BofA most of my life. In fact I opened my first account with them in 1961. I doubt that I have ever paid a penny to them.
If someone doesn't watch what they are doing with their finances then of course they will charge overdraft fees, bounced check fees, late fees, etc.

You have to go with he rules or pay! What is so hard to understand about that? People act like the world is their oyster and then constantly complain when they have to do what everyone else does.
Keep a little money in your account, don't bounce checks, and read the account agreement you sighned. |

I just joined BofA and I think it's great. I used to have TCFBank when I was a student and I had a hard time paying all the terrible fees. However, I have learned my lessons and start following the rules. Now I switched to BofA because they are nation wide. Fees are rules which all the banks have to protect themselves. |
