This is why I don't use Ebay anymore. Sometimes, I think that is how the sellers make a profit. Shipping should really be an actual charge based on the zone you live in. |

Put yourself in the sellers shoes. The seller has to buy the shipping material, pack and drive to the Post Office. In order for a company to make any money on S&H charges is one that sells and ships a tremondous amount of product. Of course this charge also reflects the cost of labor and overhead in order to offer an attractive price on the internet. |

DI think you can charge whatever you want just make sure you have the item packed to get there and email a tracking # . Do you know what boxes cost ,what masking tape cost, and bubble wrap cost? I get my shipping boxes from the business next door to keep cost down . |

It's up to the seller, I always offer free shipping and get higher bids than those who charge a lot with no good reason. |

By charging higher shipping, a seller can charge less for the item because the fees are paid on the item sell price not the total. The shipping fees include packaging materials, labor, profit, and other expenses that the seller has. There are sellers that include all of that in the item price and offer free shipping but I can assure you that you will be paying a higher total price for that. In your mind, look at the total price and it's a deal, buy it. If you feel like you are being ripped off, don't buy it. Just realize that sellers cannot afford to give away the cost of boxes and labels and listing fees by charging actual shipping charges unless some of those costs are in the profit of the items selling price. |
