Your question is whether or not selling purified tap water is ripping off the consumers.
My only suitable answer to your question would be to pose another one: If, given the choice, you could either go into a store and fill up your own container with water from the TAP machine OR buy a 16 oz. bottle of bottled water, what would you do?
Better yet, ask your friends. I know that my wife would rather go in, buy the refrigerated, purified bottled water and walk out of the store than to gain permission from the clerk to fill her own bottle (bigger or not) with the tap water available at the soda machine (the little side lever).
I, personally, feel that the corporate control of water is a bad trend, so am more apt to drink my own tap water from a container I purchased long ago. That, however, is another debate for another question. |

A lot of them are just tap watter. You could get the same water from home with a good water filter. It is not ripping off the consumer because they are not false advertising. They are selling Bottled Water. |

I agree, heck I can buy a filter and have the same thing, but I guess it’s just a convenience factor. Its available and right there and you want to drink water and have nothing to carry it in. If you really think about it you can grow your own vegetables, raise your own cows. It’s just a matter of convenience, time and effort. But I do agree that it’s a bit of a false marketing gimmick by the company. |

not nessicerly because it is more filtered than the tap water from everyone else's sink except people who have water filters , but its just the same as mcdonalds and everyone else who got sued for stupid stuff they have to label it tap now , not only for consumer reasons but in order to not get sued. |
