They can do pretty much whatever they want. If there is a demand in one country they are going to charge more there. If there is a lessor demand in the other country then they charge less. Not always, but this is the general rule of thumb. |

When selling to other countries, companies have to consider import/export fees, transportation costs, the difference in cost of buildings and storage in the particular country, wage differences, etc. There is no way a company can sell products for the same amount anywhere in the world. Laws and fees differ from one to another, and the company has to account for that when setting prices. |

tell me about it....come to Ireland just to see how much better off you are in the UK. (I know its hard to believe).
What really drives us all up the wall is the UK shops leave the STG prices on on clothes along with the Euro price, which, when you work it out bears not resemblance what so ever on the actual rates. Ie a handbag priced at €50 has a STG price of £35. €50 is £40, so we're on average over charged in UK owned shops in €1 on every €10 spent. They have no shame |

Unfortunately they do it all the time and the worse thing about it is that they may have been established in one country but then bought by another then they have the cheek to charge you more, its happened here alot especially the americans taking over our products, it sucks! :) |

Pharmaceutical companies are probably the worst, medication in the US is many times what they charge in Mexico for the same stuff.
Free enterprise means they are free to rip us off anyway they can. |

Yes, the price point is set given the location among other factors.
There may be different taxes that affect the final price, or a different level of demand. |
