One Sunday several years ago, I hoovered our lounge - I thought it looked clean. (NOTE - I have done it many times since, it wasn't an isolated incident). My wife bought a Dyson (didn't tell me) and tried it out on the Monday afternoon. When I came home from work that evening I thought that the lounge carpet had been professionally cleaned. I didn't believe the Dyson explanation until she showed me how much the hoover had missed. The Dyson was about 1/3 full! We're on our second now, and I recommend the DC07 - really shifts the muck. The original DC03 has been retired to light duties(i.e. upstairs - bedrooms/bathroom. 7 years old but still works OK.).

I've got 2 dogs and one is a collie and she sheds a lot. I bought the Dyson animal and this vac gets everything. So far I am very satisfied with my Dyson purchase.

Harrys ok dont know about wills, O dysons not Di's sons

Dysons are vacuum sweepers, not vacuum cleaners. Bagless are worse than bag type and are dirtier and have more connections that will leak
A vacuum cleaner is strong enough to pick up the carpet and draw air through it causing a more thorugh cleaning. A vacuum sweeper just gets a bit more than surface dirt. Try Sanitaire yellow page it.

Dyson's are good when new after a time and depending on use they will start to reduce the suction power. You can order new parts easy over the Webb or via the phone also there's loads of out lets that carry parts. The main problems are at the base and with the tools
