Are oil corporations, Drug companies and and Airlines Godless corporations?
These were open on Christmas all the gas stations were running, Walgreens were open on Christmas day and the Airlines were going what is one day out of the year where people can get a break even if it is a secular holiday don't people need a rest. What do you think about these Godless corporations?

I wouldn't say that they are Godless corporations, but they are driven to do what they do by the desire for wealth,or greed(Oh yeah, and their share of the market).Remember they have shareholders who dictate to them how they want things to work, and what their expectations are. They expect to make more money this quarter than they did last quarter. And they expect to make more money this year than they did last year. And this goes on and on,the more they make the more they want. And this hunger for more money influences the decisions they make. For example, if they stay open more days,or longer hours than their competitors, then maybe they will be more profitable.
Hey, your not going to fix it by talking about it. You just have to beware of it and accept it for what it is.Rest assured that when Christ returns that all this B.S. will end.Praise the Lord.

All corporations are Godless. They are human inventions that exist for the primary purpose of making money. Watch the documentary movie "The Corporation" and you will get an interesting view about the good and the bad of these entities.

Since the corporation is all about money, it takes either government regulations to guide their conduct or, consumer influence.

Rather than take a religious view of 'Godless', I prefer that these companies function ethically and humanistically. You can say that workers for these companies are being exploited by being forced to work on religious holidays or participating in absurd holiday hours.

I live in community where about 50% of the people who live here are Jewish. And about 75% of the shops were open. Don't you think it'd be kind of inconvenient for them if things weren't open? For those companies and businesses that do not operate exclusively in a neighborhood like mine, many offer double-pay for those who work the holidays. And what if you need to work Christmas Eve? Are you not supposed to fly home to see your family on Christmas Day because the airlines should be closed?

Welcome to America! Business rules here whether it is waging a war or illegal immigrants....God ain't nothing to do with making money.

I think that not everyone is Christian. And some people are more than willing to work on a holiday (even a religious one) if it puts extra money in the wallet in order to buy food.

As for "godless" - well, the company's purpose is to make money for its shareholders. It does this by performing services that people want and are willing to pay for. If there wasn't a *demand* for airline flights (and gas stations) on Christmas day, then the companies wouldn't be open for business that day. I see nothing wrong with providing those services - then again, I see nothing wrong with "godless".
