Are people in business less ethical than say, 20 years ago?
People are the same, its the technology that has changed. Thus, people are able to cheat, steal, lie, cover up, etc. more efficiently than they could 20 years ago. It was a dog-eat-dog world 20 years ago, and its still dog-eat-dog world today.

No. Human Beings are basically honest. All facets of a society have basically ethical people with a similar portion of unethical people.

that is what I think so, because modern people adapt into the new world of technology with the value changing always.

I think they are. You have to be or you will not make it. You constantly have to ask yourself.. would I like to see this on 60 minutes? Also, SO act now has the boards personally liable. So the nod and wink are becoming fewer and fewer. True, things are becoming more transparant through technology and reporting..so it looks like more, but I really do think the majority of business is cleaning up.

I don't believe they are. I believe we have more information to know about it now.

No. In my opinion, they are not.

Very likely yes. The world seems to get less ethical year by year.
