No, not really. There have been layoffs at my job but I am the only one that does my job for the company. I still have a possibly of getting let go if the company does not produce enough work for me. As far as expenses, I have not really noticed it much except in gas prices when they were really bad. I guess the only affect is the thought of I know it will affect me sooner or later so I tend to worry about it, which I think is dumb because until it happens do I have anything to worry. I read the news and listen to the radio and it really get to me sometimes when you hear all the analysts talk about how its going to get worse. I know alot of people who have been affected and it sucks to see my friends going through rough times. My parents even had to ask me for money. I gave it to them of course but now they are asking for more. It sucks because I cant keep giving them money because my wife is starting to get mad that we keep giving them money from our savings. |

of course! i think everyone is-even if they do not know it. i am living in finland right now and the euro is more valuable than the dollar so that makes it hard for me. |

Just before Christmas I was moved from full-time to the call board. Now instead of 40 hours a week I'm lucky to get 16. That amounts to the same $ as I get from Unemployment the weeks I don't work.
Doesn't seem worth it, huh? |

Yes, because there has been a reduction in funding in the non profit company that I work for. Some employees have not been replaced, overtime is scarce and sadly there is a waiting list for people needing services. |

in skul we cant do afterschool sports!<<<,not enough trips outside school because we cant get subs, theres more i just cant think of them right now lol!!!

Not really, just a little I guess, we've always lived pretty tight, and we've always had to watch how we spend $$, so now that things are tougher, we are not affected as bad because we're used to it. |

Yeah, we're not allowed go on any trips out of school, for basketball/football games etc.
We can't get subs in anymore.

I don't even really have a job. Well I do, but it's more like a temporary job. And now I want at least a part time job where I'm guaranteed I'll work 40 hrs + a week. I've been thinking, what if I can't find one due to the whole economic rut we're in. Lol that would suck wouldn't it? |
