It's weird, the media seems to blow this out of proportion. Then people get scared and we sink into a deeper mess. Why all this gloom? Does this recession seem to be generated by some interest group? |

I agree, the media keeps on pushing doom and gloom and it scares people to the point they don't want to spend. That only takes us deeper into a recession.
I'm pretty sure this will go into a depression, but not as bad as the Great Depression. They just aren't coming out and saying it otherwise it would scare people.
We brought this on ourselves with a war we couldn't afford, no jobs in this country, and lending money to people who just shouldn't have it!
Just wait until people default on overpriced college loans because they can't get a job and when credit card debt hits the fan.... |

Scared ? No. Concerned, yes. When B.O.A. lays off over 30,000 employees and financial institutions close their doors and plants also close and the cost of food goes up so much it is hard to even buy decent food anymore. I am concerned how people will survive.
This is fact not any interest group making this up. It is on the news and affecting many people who have lost their jobs.
Do you honestly think this is just a story made up to scare people?
There is a petition asking the President to grant all Americans some bail out money not just the measly $600. but some of the actual bail out money being given. People might think it is stupid but it doesn't sound anymore stupid to help all of us than hearing an executive spent $1.5 million of his bailout money to redecorate his office. It infuriates me that these people have been allowed to get away with this. |

Uh, this recession isn't someting "manufactured" by the media. Countries all over the world are going *** over head, reeling from the damages the crap economy is causing.
Perhaps you would like to have a discussion with any of the millions of US workers laid off these past two months? Or with the majority of students of the 2008 graduating class from college, who are struggling to get a job. |
