At what point do top executive salaries become greed and just plain wrong?
I suggest 100 times overminimum wage & I think anything over this threshold should attract a supertax rate.

What in the world makes 150,000 a good number? I'd like to hear the logic behind that. What better way to stunt the growth of an economy than putting a ceiling on the amount our best and brightest people get paid? Granted, just because one becomes CEO doesn't mean they are a genius, and there are plenty of examples of poor execs making too much. But for the most part a good CEO deserves their salary. A bad CEO can run a company into the ground, resulting in a much higher cost than $150,000.

I agree but I would say 10 times minimum should have a huge tax. 100 times is over 1.5 mil a year if the minimum ever gets to 7.25 an hour. 10 times over is 150,000. Those that make the most pay the least in porpotion to income.

Anything over $150,000 a year is outrageous.

It should depend on the performance of the company and the company culture (the employees like working there, etc...).

Lots of people in sports and entertainment make more than that, but they don't provide jobs to many people.

When the company is operating at a loss.

When Lee Iacocca became CEO of Chrysler, his pay was a dollar a year.

Anything is greed if the regular workers are just getting by. Northwest Airlines executives keep getting raises and bonuses (now they are trying to approve $495million bonus) and they have taken 40% from the Flight Attendants. How is this fair?
