does anybody else find that walmart has bad customer service? and that during the busiest time of the day, theres only a few lanes open? they have all of those check out lanes and only 3 or 4 are open. i went to walmart today and i have WIC, they were so rude to me, i can not help that i can not afford formula... it is way too expensive. so, i just took my coupon and left my entire cart there in the lane with people behind me. that is why i prefer the ones with self check outs but, i am NEVER shopping at walmart again, i will go twice the distance to go to target or meijer.

wait.......you can't afford formula but with gas prices as high as they are you'll drive 2x the distance? I would save the gas money and talk with someone about the way you felt you were treated. Because #1: you are a customer and don't deserve that kind of treatment & #2: the only person you're hurting is yourself by wasting your gas money - and it doesn't exactly sound like you were treated any nicer at K-Mart. |

the only lanes open are 10 or less items or 20 or less. what do they have all the other lanes for if they aren't going to use them. My daughter has wic they were rude to her also. There is a lot of people that cant afford formula I think they don't know how to do the wic vouchers or they just don't wont to. |

sorry they were rude to you. Most of the time I've had good service at Walmart with the occasional problem with prices being incorrect..but that's another story. I'd go the extra distance if that's what you have to do to get service where no-one is rude for you having WIC. You do what you gotta do, girl! |

Wal-Mart knows that they can do whatever they want (or as little as they want) and people will still shop there because of their prices. That is why many people who can afford it now go to Target and other nicer retailers. As for K-Mart and the WIC program, unless their system was down or you didn't know your pin number (or some other WIC problem), it is against the law for a store to not accept WIC/food stamps. I work for a retailer and it is a big part of our training that it is illegal for big retailers (Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Kroger, CVS, etc.) to not accept WIC and food stamps. |

the thing you have to remember about their customer service is that , for the most part, with **some exceptions** to the rule, these are bottom of the barrel people. they are people that might have been living under a bridge a 2 months ago and maybe still are. The younger people, highschool and college, is pretty much a crap shoot how they'll be and the real old people are usually pretty nice but slow, but as cheap as their prices are it's just not a place to expect good customer service b/c walmart doesn't believe in investing money in good customer service |
