Bad customer service...will u be pissed?
okay here's my situation. on wednesday around 6pm i drop of my prescription at the pharmacist. but the prescription missing some info..just how much quantity of meds.

they told me first day in the morning they will work w/it.

yesterday 3:30pm i called them if the meds are ready. they said NO cz the doctor's office are not answering phones so they fax it instead. so what i did. i called the clinic find out if it's true that no one pick the phone...but NO the pharmacist was lying. so now, instead of them doing their job..i have to work and put them in conference w/the clinic JUST to get the info that they supposed to be working on.

around 5:30 the pharmacist call me telling me that. the meds are still NOT ready. bcz they say the doctor need to call the insurance to have it approved.

i was really pissed. first of all if they work their A S S call the clinic instead of faxing it. maybe it's not too late for them to find out that they still need more info from the doctor.AND now, i really need that meds for my son.

will u be pissed and report them on the management???

No, I think that you are overreacting. Just because the clinic called when you answered doesn't mean they answered when the pharmacist called. I am sure that they also did not know that your insurance required the doctor to call for approval. They would not have known that if they called your doctor because your doctor didn't know either. There are so many different insurances with so many different plans that each have different regulations and co-pays that it would be impossible for anyone to know the specifics for your plan. They would have found that out only after they tried to fill the prescription and submit the claim to your insurance company. They couldn't try to fill the prescription without the quantity (which your doctor didn't write on the prescription). If you feel like you need to be mad at someone, be mad at your doctor. Your doctor is the one who didn't write the prescription correctly in the first place. The pharmacist was trying to do you a favor.

It is not the pharmacist's job to gather missing information from prescriptions. It is your job to make sure you present a valid prescription to your pharmacy. You didn't do what you were supposed to do. So now you want to report them because they tried to HELP you? Get over it, it's not their fault your doctor screwed up and the insurance company wants you to jump through hoops for an approval. How would you feel if you tried to help someone and they complained about you?

I had similar problems with a druggist. They advertise that they will call the doctor and after one call they they bail out. The worst of it is they don't let you know that they failed.
