Big company with no class?
I got an interview with Motorola two weeks ago for a graphic design postion, the interview was great but I think I screwed up on the demo test. That position was one of the worst offers I ever saw in the industry. It's a swing shift that pays like $13.00 an hour with no holidays and medical benefits. Come on! I'm staying up late to design for your stupid website so people can see it in the morning, and it's only worth $13.00 with no benefit?

Anyway, I'm a recent graduate so I guess I would do it for a little while so I can put a large name on my resume. I sent them a thank you letter...no response. After a week, I sent them an email regarding to the hiring decision...no response. Why are they being such a jerk. You can tell me no, I can take it!!

Perhaps the attitude your displaying now came out in the interview.

Sounds like you would be an independent contractor. When you agreed to the interview you did not know the nature of the position that was available?

I feel they got your thoughts about the job and usually those big ones, desire not only your work but your soul either. If not they will be searching someone else, ready to do anything by the company. As a recent graduated prepare yourself to deal constantly with those kind of jerks.
Move ahead and next time show you're ready to play the game.
Good luck.

Assuming you were not selected for the position (which apparently is the case), it is not at all unusual to receive no response. It might seem rude, but that is the way it is.

Unfortunately, this is the way most companies act if they are not going to hire you. And the bigger the name, the more likely they'll be impersonal. They either have filled the position or are waiting for a decision from someone other than the person who interviewed you.

You followed correct protocol. Don't take it personally. Keep a positive attitude and continue to seek employment. These things usually do work out for the best.

Good luck on the search!

Yes I have worked for a few BIG companies and they treat people well not so great. You should just get used to it because this seems to be how all companies are now days. The good days of treating employes with respect and giving them time off as stopped. Welcome to the real world
