I don't think Gates is hurting even if he is third. He hasn't been first for at least a couple of years. Carlos Slim in Mexico surpassed him last year.

The statistic was made by the time when US stock market is falling down. So Bill Gate's asset properly dropped because of this effect. Depending on when and what evaluation method, maybe he will be the richest one by another evaluer in the near future again. cheers

Bill Gates is still the richest man known to man and probably will stay that way for the rest of his life. He is also a College drop out and that just goes to show that you don't need a college degree to make money!!! But you have to remember that he donates millions if not billions of dollars to different organizations every year. So if he isn't the richest, he would still be if he didn't donate so much money.
