I am a B.G. customer for my gas supply and have a small three bed terraced house. I have just had a bill for £280 for 3 months!!
This seems really high to me. I'm gonna check the meter readings in a minute but wondered roughly what your fuel bills are like. It is never boiling hot in my house, just comfortable.
U.K. answers please.
get the readings first, the bill may be overestimated. If the bill is taken from an actual read it may be that your previous bills have been underestimated and now a large bill has incurred. the best thing to do is ring in with a meter read every couple of months.
lolly
Seems that they have over estimated your reading by a hell of a lot.
I have a three bed semi, last bill was £120 for the last three months. I switched to direct debit and took my electricity out with them as well and got a £60 reduction.

Its probably an overestimation, take the readings and ring British Gas with the new ones. I just had to do the same with Powergen, they told me my electricity bill was £323, when i gave them the actual readings, it dropped to £100

It seems about right I am sorry to say. Gas has gone up hugely in the last year or so but they say BG are lowering it come the Summer

Mine is about the same for a 2 bed flat. The meter readings have been correct.
Just obscene prices.
No wonder so many people are moving to other companies.
