Can't World Bank print more money to save economic recession? ?
If the reason for economic recession is lack of money, then why can't the government or World Bank print enough money to save the economy? i know it might cause currency value depreciation, but can't they minimize the extent to which the value would depreciate?

The simple answer is inflation. All that is achieved by printing money is the price of goods, across the board, will jump.

Assume every consumer in a country has $1.00 in their pocket, which is enough to buy a loaf of bread. Their government decides to print enough money so that everyone now has $10.00 in their pocket. This doesn't mean that everyone could now afford to buy 10 loaves of bread -- the mechanics of supply and demand would eventually shift the demand curve out, such that a price of a loaf of bread would eventually equal $10.00.

This is, of course, a simplified scenario, but it should also be noted that the prospect of inflation in and of itself is enough to keep a government from distributing excess currency.

For the same reason countries can't print more money --You have to be able to back it up with something of value or it become worthless

thats what they have been doing for years, and they are preventing the dollar collapse. ultimately, the dollar would become weaker , which would cause more problems than now.

to print more money than the resources is called deficit financing and it will infue great inflation and chaos. there will be hoarding and black marketing.

you can only have money if you have gold to back it up. that is what fort knox is all about along with other US depositories
