Can I return an item to walmart without a receipt or packaging...?
I bought a digital camera recently but now I need to return it. Problem is, I have neither the receipt OR the original package. I do have everything that came with the camera though, and it was payed for by credit card so there IS a record of the purchase.
Sorry I don't think so unless you can prove it came broken. I think they only take cameras back after 7 days. My husband tried to return a printer 20 days after we bought it the box was not open and we had receipt and he had to fight for them to take it back took like 30mins. we bought it as a gift and the person already got one.
The best thing you can do is plead your case to the manger. Even though you paid by credit card they would not have a record of it at the store. It would be at head office.

two things you can do... as to speak to the general manager, the managers cheif job is customer service, their job is to make you happy. if you complain, you will usually win. either A, you will get your money back, or B you will get a wal mart gift card. second thing you can do is to go to your bank/creditcards company web site first and get a copy of your transaction to prove that you bought that item, they will not deny your return if you are professional or can at least act professional... they will ask you the question I also have for you.... if you recently bought the camera and it is not broke, why are you trying to return it?

some stores can have a record on their database systems of a person's purchase. so if you have used your credit card with your name on it, then possibly they could have your info. however, it would still depend on the store's policy of returning items. like things can only be returned within a week or less or an Official receipt is a must. what you could do also is you could speak with their manager of any options.

*No* store is going to accept an item for return that's not in re-saleable packaging and that you can't even prove was purchased there.

i had a friend who won an ipod at like a carnival thing or something. it broke, and she went to walmart and told them it was a birthday gift from her dad, but her parents are divorced so she doenst see her dad besides like a couple times a year.. she also told them that he said he bought it at walmart. as cheesy as it sounds, she walked out of there with a new ipod!!!!!

you can return it but if there is cheaper price they may only give you that plus if you had credit card there maybe something in this. but you have to tell them be alittle forward and stuff they can do ti and maybe they will theya re good people but take care next time to save reciepts.
